Different order types need slightly different handling. Your team should recognise the order type early and follow the right handoff process.
Collection Orders
For collection:
confirm the pickup details
prepare the order on time
mark it ready when the customer can collect it
Delivery Orders
For delivery:
confirm the address or service area is valid
check any delivery notes
hand off only when the order is packed and ready
Table Orders
For table service:
confirm the table reference if used
keep additions and changes linked to the right order or tab
close the order only when service is finished

Always check the fulfilment type before acting. Many order mistakes happen because the team treats a delivery order like a collection order, or vice versa.
