Recommended for: Owners, admins, managers, and staff Time to complete: 5 to 10 minutes to learn

Tabs help your team keep related orders together during table service or longer in-store transactions.

Basic Flow

  1. Open the tab when service starts.

  2. Add items to the same tab as the customer orders more.

  3. Review the full tab before payment or completion.

  4. Close the tab when the service is finished.

Good Practice

  • make sure the tab belongs to the right table or customer

  • avoid leaving old tabs open after service ends

  • review totals before closing
