How to Take Your First Order

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

- access to your business dashboard

- your business contact details

- at least one branch address

- a device you want to use for EPOS

- your starting menu and prices

Setup Checklist

1. Confirm your business profile

- Check your business name, phone number, and email

- Make sure your main contact details are customer-facing and current

- Upload your logo if branding is already available on your plan

2. Add your first branch

- Create the branch your team will trade from

- Add the branch address and contact number

- Confirm the branch is the one your first orders should route to

3. Set opening hours

- Add standard weekly opening hours

- Double-check collection and delivery times if they differ

- Add any temporary closure notes before launch day

4. Add your menu

- Create at least one menu category

- Add your first sellable item with the correct price

- Check that unavailable or seasonal items are not live by mistake

5. Set order fulfilment options

- Decide whether you will accept collection, delivery, or both

- Review any service area or delivery-zone settings

- Make sure fulfilment choices match the way your branch actually operates

6. Register your first EPOS device

- Sign in on the EPOS device your team will use first

- Confirm the device is linked to the correct branch

- Check that staff can reach the order screen without errors

7. Connect your printer

- Add at least one receipt printer if you print receipts in-store

- Test the connection before service begins

- Keep one backup method ready in case the first printer is offline

8. Add your staff

- Invite the people who need access

- Give each person the correct role

- Only assign owner access when it is truly needed

- Confirm how many branches, devices, or feature limits apply

10. Take a test order

- Create a test order before opening to customers

- Confirm the order appears in the dashboard or EPOS

- Check the printer output and order status flow
